This was amazing beginning to end! The boat was impeccable! The crew was divine and attentive! The trip to sea was beautiful so was the sunset. It included a dinner after which was great. I’d do this again if I came back to be honest because it was just a really nice evening! Totally recommend !

i have been on this cruise several times over the years and it is without fail an excellent outing. it is extremely affordable, is just right in terms of the length of the tour, and it is backed up with stellar service - every time. the cruise takes you through the victoria basin past the docked fishing trawlers; past the entrance to the giant duncan and ben schoeman docks, where the large cargo ships and cruise liners dock; and around the buoy at the entrance of the harbour. from there the return is along the other side of the victoria basin, past the heliport and the pier where there is frequently a superyacht berthed, and back to the starting point. the trip starts out in smooth water and as it proceeds further out of the harbour the waves and wind pick up. hang onto your hats and loose scarves - i have had a cap blown off (from being too foolish to take it off). the lower deck is a lot calmer though, so if a stiff breeze isn't your thing you can always head downstairs. right at the entrance to the harbour, as the boat goes the around the buoy, the sea feels much stronger. nothing too scary, but definitely not a calm experience. once again, the lower deck is somewhat calmer. the view of the mountain throughout is spectacular. lion's head and signal hill are also on show. robben island is visible in the distance from the harbour entrance. there are many other boats sailing around. plenty to feast your eyes on. 30 minutes is a perfect length. one gets a great tour of the harbour, but it doesn't drag on too long. the tour guide gives a pleasing amount of information, explaining the sights without being too invasive. expect to see several seals swimming, a group of seals sunning themselves on the buoy, and occasionally a whale (though not on every trip). there is a bar which serves alcohol and soft drinks, but i have never made use of it so will make no comment about it here. there is also an opportunity to tip the crew as you leave the boat, but it never feels invasive. i recently booked a trip for about 20 adults and 15 kids (age 5 to 12) for a birthday party and the service was astounding. chenise was amazing all the way through: she patiently and thoroughly answered my many questions, helped me book online while we were on the phone, and made allowance for me to store some items in the back storeroom while we waited for the cruise. they allowed me to take a large box of party packs on board, although (understandably) no drinks. boarding was expertly managed, with our guests arriving in dribs and drabs and no issues experienced at ticket check. afterwards we had a very patient photographer manage to take a great picture that included 15 excitable kids. i cannot recommend this cruise enough. it is a great family favourite and i'm certain we will be enjoying it many more times.

Really loved the cruise, my daughter absolutely loved it... catching the sunset on the Atlantic...magical...the on deck entertainment by the crew was great, safety was taken care of, we were warm and cozy- they give blankies. I would do it again.

It’s worth it to see the Cape Town coast and marine life while enjoying some champagne. A great tour for seeing the entire Cape Town coastline. It was cloudy the day I went, but that didn't spoil the experience, as the service from the *Enigma* crew was excellent; they made everyone on board feel completely at ease to enjoy the trip. Speed boat ocean safari We really did enjoy this sail. Small inflatable boats are best to see the marine live up close and you are in a very small group of people which is amazing (our boat had only 6 seats). Our captain Michaela was excellent and told us a lot interesting facts about all the animal we've seen. Amazing ocean safari experience! We booked an ocean safari during our stay in South Africa and it exceeded every expectation. We had the boat just for us, and our guide Mikayla was fantastic from start to finish. She took us to the areas she thought gave us the best chance of spotting marine life — and she was right. We watched dolphins feeding and leaping out of the water, spotted two humpback whales, and even came across a couple of penguins. All in one trip. Mikayla’s knowledge and enthusiasm made it.
